About Us
Marlin Design and Construction has been in business since 1974. The home office is in Tallahassee, where our office is currently located at 4030 N. Monroe Street, and, we have our new office in Freeport.
We have a complete interior design studio within both of our office locations. This ensures you get more for your money with our one stop shopping. There will be a specified time set aside for the staff designer to assist you with all your selections. You will see your new home laid out before your very eyes. This practice has eliminated the chance for errors, made our clients comfortable with their choices, and eliminated the middleman so they have a much higher quality product in their new home.
Our new home specialty staff is at your disposal. They will be happy to help you with any questions during the construction of your new home.
When construction begins, you will also be in touch with Tom Baldwin, our Certified General Contractor. Tom, who graduated with a degree in Building Construction and Architecture from The University of Florida, will plan to walk your lot with you, or if you haven't selected a lot yet, be available to help you select one that suits your family and floor plan.
As construction proceeds, Tom will again ask for your involvement in your electrical walk through and the placement of light fixtures, switches, stereo pre-wiring, etc. Then again Tom will be with you towards the end of construction with your landscaping and your final walk through, and finally, prior to moving into your dream home.
This "hands on" approach has worked for years, and we have many happy and satisfied home owners. Our small staff is very in tune with your family's needs, and wants you to be comfortable with all your choices through this exciting process.
We have worked hard over the years to make the home building experience as relaxing, exciting, and stress-free as possible.
We feel our subcontractors are some of the best in the business. All are licensed, have Worker's Compensation, and do wonderful work. Most of them have been with us since we began in Tallahassee all those years ago, and still continue to do their best on your behalf.
